Viewsonic has released its latest eco-friendly LCD monitor range with the VG36-LED Series. The eco-friendly series includes the 22-inch VG2236wm-LED and the 24-inch VG2436wm-LED displays, both featuring LED-backlit panels and a native 1920×1080 resolution.

The Viewsonic displays also come with VGA/DVI connectivity, a 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio and built-in speakers. It boasts of energy savings of up to 50% which should address the energy consumption concerns.

The 22" VG2236wm display will cost about $229 while the 24" version will retail for about $259. Both models are now available for purchase.

The Sinclair X-1 Electric Bike

Clive Sinclair outs a new electric bike for the eco-friendly transport market with the Sinclair X-1 electric bike. This is his latest urban transport idea which costs about £595 ($968) if you are interested in getting one.

The electric bike is battery-powered and takes the form of a buggy with a large acrylic bubble. The bubble seems to be for weather protection and to make the bike more visible when used on the road. It measures 140cm high and comes complete with front and rear lights.

The Sinclair X-1 electric bikes are expected to hit the market by July, 2011.

Eco-Friendly Sailing Stations Proposed

If all goes well, a new eco-friendly sailing station may yet rise at the Port of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The proposal was released by Sun & Associates for an eco-friendly terminal for passengers at the Port of Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The terminal will be integrated with modern green technologies together with other standard facilities, like public and underground parking, conference centers and an office. From the looks of it, this should be something cool to check out, not to mention a trendsetter that other regions may follow.

New recycled and lush accessories are getting much rapport, all thanks to the fashion label Attic Japan. Founded 2 years ago by Yukari Isokane and Izumi Masabe, new products made from recycling old kimonos and obi silks have become funky pieces to want.

Among the new recycled kimono-based pieces include romantic bags called 'Kyoto Couture Clutch' and 'Kimono Love Bag'.
