| Viewsonic Outs Eco-friendly VG36 LED Displays Posted: 04 Nov 2010 11:28 AM PDT ![]() Viewsonic has released its latest eco-friendly LCD monitor range with the VG36-LED Series. The eco-friendly series includes the 22-inch VG2236wm-LED and the 24-inch VG2436wm-LED displays, both featuring LED-backlit panels and a native 1920×1080 resolution. The Viewsonic displays also come with VGA/DVI connectivity, a 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio and built-in speakers. It boasts of energy savings of up to 50% which should address the energy consumption concerns. The 22" VG2236wm display will cost about $229 while the 24" version will retail for about $259. | The Sinclair X-1 Electric Bike Posted: 04 Nov 2010 11:26 AM PDT ![]() Clive Sinclair outs a new electric bike for the eco-friendly transport market with the Sinclair X-1 electric bike. This is his latest urban transport idea which costs about £595 ($968) if you are interested in getting one. The electric bike is battery-powered and takes the form of a buggy with a large acrylic bubble. The bubble seems to be for weather protection and to make the bike more visible when used on the road. The proposal was released by Sun & Associates for an eco-friendly terminal for passengers at the Port of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The terminal will be integrated with modern green technologies together with other standard facilities, like public and underground parking, conference centers and an office.
