I just got an email from Pini of Laurarperkins.com in Spain, she chose Buy Tees to announce that Laura R. Perkins, a record label from Barcelona, Catalunya is expanding its horizons and entering into the fold of fashion. To be honest when I first read it I thought it was from Dorothy Perkins or Laura Ashley or some corporate combo – thankfully I was wrong… god knows what kind of a record label a high street fashion chain would run. Anyway Pini tells me that having a history of working closely with the urban art scene, it makes a lot of sense for LRP to formalise their arts connections, beginning with the release of their first collection of tees all designed by Masmuf Grafics. Unfortunately I can’t find a single mention of them in Google so I can’t tell you more right now.

However I do wish them all the best, it’s great to see the more and more of us involved in the arts trying out new mediums, experimenting in collaborations and generally mixing it up. I’m also looking forward to seeing what other directions LRP takes in the future. In the meantime do check out their Elephant t-shirts, kinda Art School sci-fi, nice.
