TB’s tips for soft skin and silky hair

Posted: 11 May 2010 06:11 AM PDT

Another fun, or possibly fun(ny), tidbit article from Total Beauty which provides tips on getting silky hair and soft skin. Have a look see, and let me know which tips you think they left out.

In my opinion, they have made a huge omission by leaving out Jojoba Oil. It’s my go-to item for pretty much everything if I want softer and smoother hair, skin, feet, lips, cuticles… like I said, it’s versatile (here are my 15 uses for Jojoba Oil). Plus it’s easy to get (at your local drugstore or natural food market), and relatively cheap since you only need a few drops!

After following these tips, he’ll want to put his hands all over your body and run his fingers through your hair.

Plus their mention of “Oily skin? Use an oil-free face moisturizer” makes absolutely zero sense since without oils, your moisturizer isn’t going to do its job and it certainly will throw your oily skin further out of whack.

I also think most people with hair on the drier side, or those that use frequent heat treatments or hair color need at least a light, spray-in or leave-in conditioner. I wash my hair every 2-3 days, and rinse thoroughly with water in-between. I also condition after every shampoo; deep condition once a week in the shower; and use a leave-in cream conditioner or spray-in conditioner every night. And I have very, very fine hair!
