Here’s what the artist says about Stayin Alive - "Keeping in mind the theme of rock…I was thinking of what kind of "ROCK" ideas I could do with out some crazy dragon or epic looking character with lightning bolts…I was immediately drawn to memories of old punk rock music zines. I did this design inspired by those photocopied, underground, phenomena. Hope you like it!". Love the decayed look and feel of this tee, take a look for yourself! Stayin’ Alive Tee
I’d love to see a few more close-ups, it would be nice to think that all the news print in the background related to escapades of unruly punk rockers in the past. The typography is superb, a cut-up collage style almost suited to a ransom note from some nutter or other, which frames a great composition too. This is definitely steering away from Springleap’s usual design favourites, not a clean and colourful vector in sight! You can buck the system and introduce a little anarchy into your own life with the Stayin’ Alive tee for £12 / €15 / $19 on pre-order here. Available in white, sizes S to L for girls and S to XXL for guys. |
