A house in Tao, New Mexico is sitting on a foundation made entirely of recycled car tires.

The design is compliments of an architect agency that sought to create a house with recycled materials, along with a foundation that didn’t employ the traditional brick. Aside from dozens of recycled tires, empty plastic bottles and other materials were used in the construction of this beauty.

And it is a beauty, take a look at the shot below.

You can see some of the recycled tires on the front exterior of the entrance way, along with solar panels on the roof.

Recycled Skateboard iPhone 4 Cases

How awesome is this? iPhone 4 cases made out of recycled skateboard wood.

At Grove Made a new limited edition designer case collection is up for grabs from artist Lindsay Jo Holmes. She took 300 skateboards and recycled the wood into super awesome iPhone 4 cases with sexy colorful patterns. 50 cases total.

We are proud to present our collaboration with Lindsay from MapleXO. Lindsay cut up old skateboards into narrow strips, laid them on their sides, re-glued them back together, and flattened the sheets to form our material. She hand selected each pattern making each case truly one of a kind and individually numbered.

The Grove Team took over from there to craft this limited edition run of 50 iPhone 4 cases. The packaging is specially made for this collaboration with skateboard pieces inlaid into the end grain and then hand polished.

Rolls Royce Electric Phantoms Undergo Testing

The Rolls Royce electric-powered Phantom sedans were made known some time ago and now it seems that they are finally offering some headway. This was after the electric-powered vehicles from the luxury car manufacturer were reportedly already undergoing testing.
