| Posted: 16 Feb 2011 04:00 PM PST ![]() We have heard of the new wave of batteries and supposed alternatives and while this one remains a concept, it may just be a great alternative for people in need of batteries to power up their gadgets and other electronic stuff. They are called the Charge Battery concept, designed by Yeon Kyeong Hwang and Mieng Ho Kang. They can recharge themselves similar to that when you twist or crank them up for some juice for whatever purpose they may be used. They are similar to old winding toys where a few twists can charge and of course provide necessary power wherever they may eventually be used. Need Green Web Hosting? | Nintendo 3DS Cases Go Eco friendly Posted: 16 Feb 2011 10:42 AM PST Nintendo has come out with new cases for its super cool 3DS game that have a slight change, which sort of qualify them as eco friendly. The new 3DS cases have holes in them which make the cases 15% lighter than their predecessors, although they still have the same look. This is a rather small change made by Nintendo but when you consider the ginormous amount of cases they make, it all adds up to less emissions overall. via iTWire.com Need Green Web Hosting? | Powermat Wireless Charger Coming in 2011 Posted: 16 Feb 2011 10:00 AM PST ![]() Come 2011, techies will be able to get a charger that they can place on their car's windshields. This is the Powermat Wireless Charger which is slated to make its debut later in the year. The charger offers support for any phone type. The charger would be great for cars with multiple drivers, or drivers with multiple phones, since people will not need to keep multiple car chargers in the car. To make it work, the Powermat Charger draws its power from the car's cigarette lighter socket. With that said, it does seem that this thing seems like most car chargers we know of today. However, the charger mounts on the windshield, placing the phone at an eye level for easier access of navigation apps. The wireless car charger is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2011, and will sell for $59. Need Green Web Hosting? Check out our latest review of green web hosts.
