google valentine

Google never stops innovating, creating and inventing. This time they have a Valentine up their sleeves, an electronic Valentine you send to your sweetie with a Google Maps location attached and a sweet nothing message about the location.

For example you can map out the location of your first kiss, your first movie date, your first anniverary dinner, etc and attach a message then he or she will receive it via their phone or email and see the Google Map location mapped out on the oh! so clever Google e-Valentine.

Try one now via the MapYourValentine.com website.

Posted: 14 Feb 2011 04:11 PM PST

Here’s a fabric refresher that is non-toxic and easy on the senses as well as Earth.

Fabric refreshers are used to keep garments smelling clean and fresh, along with removing unwanted odors. However many contain strong harmful chemicals which linger in the air way after you spray. Try an alternative to the other refreshers such as Eco Breeze and see if it does the trick, while keeping the air in your home the best quality it can be.

In something that seems to be a bit gross once again, this is one clock that draws power from something you least expect –FLIES. The Carnivorous clock actually traps flies and in turn undergoes a process where it makes the flying insects as its means of rendering time.

It features a white belt which is drenched in honey to attract the poor flies. This belt then traps the flies and slowly rotates, sending the stuck flies towards a blade that scrapes them off into a microbial fuel cell on the bottom, which breaks down the organic matter into electrical energy.

The Carnivorous Clock is a concept for now and while many find it eerie, you have to agree that it is an idea that does come close to delivering alternative means of power.
