eCoustic Shows off Biodegradable Cables

Green technology was pretty much around during the CES 2011. One of them was eCoustic which had presented these biodegradable cables, seemingly at a conceptual level. These cables seem like the standard and ordinary ones we see daily but are actually made from corn.

This means that they last for as long as you are using them. However, if left exposed to rain, sun, bugs and other factor of bio-degradation, these cables should completely go away more or less in about 10 years. Sadly there was no mention of how much these cables would cost but at least you now there is a semblance of green over at the CES show in Vegas.

Recreation and games can be eco-friendly if they are given the proper attention and these ideas from Peter Toomey for Go Green Games should be something cool and green. The company offers eco-friendly classic games like checkers, Jenga and horseshoes which made use of recycled wood and plastic bags.

Go Green Games was inspired by the amount of deck wood and plastic bags discarded during his day job. According to Inhabitat, for every game built, 31 plastic bags are kept out of landfills.
