Solar Power has been seen as one of the saviors for helping address the growing electricity-needs issue that we are now faced with. And apparently solar powered discoveries are taking it to another level with reports that researchers have come up with a microchip which can be self-powered using built-in solar panels.

The microchip is used as the base and the solar panels are grafted onto the chip in layers to build the finished product. In order to avoid damaging the chip, the researcher used CIGS or amorphous silicon for the solar panels. The said chips can be self-powered as long as they consume less than 1 milliwatt of energy which should be a cool solution, even indoors.

Paris to Ban Uneconomical Vehicles

After revealing their shift towards electric (and eco-friendly) transport solutions, it seems only normal for Paris to extend their cause. It looks like the old gas-guzzlers will have their existence in peril after the capital city of France is set to ban these uneconomical vehicles such as SUVs and diesel-powered ones.

While the ban may seem a bit harsh for now, expect a compromise or something that will penalize and discourage people and owners to consider shifting to a more eco-friendly transport solution. But the thing here is that if you want a healthy and worry-free lifestyle, investing in electric powered vehicles may not be a bad idea since it seems that the whole world is headed there anyway.

Freshii is aiming to cut down on paper and reduce the labor involved in the order process by going digital. The owner hopes that locals take to the web and place their orders online, thereby reducing the overall time and waste associated with walk-in ordering. Furthermore you get to create your own custom meal by choosing exactly which ingredients you want in your dish. They go one step further and use only bio-degradable packaging in their take-out baskets and trays.

Freshii may sound high tech but the food is down home made from scratch goodness.
