The Stringbike from StringDrive Posted: 02 Jan 2011 09:07 AM PST ![]() Made of a different type of material, StringDrive unveils the Stringbike. The Stringbike boasts of drive chain and gears located on one side, rendering an asymmetric riding experience which could be more efficient or smoother if further enhancements were to be made for it. The Stringbike relies on a couple of identical but opposing drive units on either side of the bike, featuring swinging arms that move forward and back as the pedals are turned. This unique motion will in turn pull a set of steel ropes on either side, causing a drum and the rear wheel to rotate. Another potential alternative to address the carbon emission issue? Well, the Stringbike certainly looks stylish and neat for the issue. Need Green Web Hosting? Check out our latest review of green web hosts. The Stringbike from StringDrive Related posts |
