Up for some eco-friendly perfume? Well look no further. Formboten of Hanover has released their eco-friendly perfume bottle called the Natural Self Flacon.

This is a biodegradable perfume bottle whose body is made from PLA, a compostable thermoplastic. The outer case is made of cork and the company also plans to release a natural cosmetic fragrance soon. And as you guessed, there is no word on the contents of this one. The packaging is eco-friendly but no idea on the actual perfume components.

Old Bikinis Turned into Recycled Speedo Swimsuits

Old bikinis don't necessarily have to be given away or left lying around and thanks to the ingenuity of some UK students, it has become a fashion trend of sorts. Actually, they have taken the old bikinis and turned them into features Speedo Swimsuit pieces which should ignite some new fashion trend.

The students took inspiration from the LZR swimsuit frock and put a "sexier" spin on the old bikini pieces. Featuring bandeau-knotted bikinis, ruffled clutches and patchwork water shorts, they were able to produce new and recycled swimwear which should capture the eye of people seeking new fashionable bathing suits to wear the next time they hit the beach.

Chevy Volts Start Shipments

The first batch of Chevy Volts are on the go, leaving the GM Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant yesterday and headed towards the auto dealers. This will start the estimated 350 vehicles that will be shipped out this week and finally put an end to negative speculations on the status of the said vehicle.

The Chevy Volt is seen as the main reason as to why GM is still up and about to this day. A lot of time and money have been invested into this green and electric vehicle and hopefully it can change the faltering fortunes of the embattled US can manufacturer.

For the consumer, this should spark the start of the electric-vehicle era, much of which were made to address the growing issue of dilapidating fuel resources.

Chevy Volts Start Shipments

Solar Powered Windows Demoed by Sony

Sony has recently showed off and demonstrated the Hana Mado (aka Flower Plant) which is a solar powered panel that uses screen printed dye to generate custom designs for windows. These are new eco-friendly creations from Sony, wherein a 10" fan would turn each time light passed through.

These seem to be new ventilation solutions from Sony and reportedly costs less than the average solar technology we hear of today. While Sony promises these new green solutions to be available, let us hope for the best.
