China Rolling Out a Battery-replaceable EV?

Once again, it seems that the real issue concerning the feasibility of electric vehicles are its batteries to be used. Similar to that of tires, China is said to be on the verge of rolling out new electric vehicles (called C71 EV) soon which are battery-replaceable.

The C71 EV will be offered for about $44,974 and will make battery replacement/s as easy as changing a flat tire.

At the moment, the Chinese government is looking for ways to standardize a method of replacing EV batteries while setting up stations for replacing batteries. The new battery pack carries a capacity and mass of 22kWh and 340kg, respectively, composed of 10 modules, each featuring 10 cells.
