IMC meets Howest Concept Solar-Charging Notebook

Notebooks have their share of power concerns, most of which has to do on how they can maintain and be juiced up. But if the IMC meets Howest concept comes through, all that may be changed. The design of the said concept aims to harness solar energy while at the same time running on just two solar panels.

Now the only problem with this one is perhaps you may need to be under the sun most of the time to get juiced up (or fried in this case). Perhaps this area may need to be addressed since potential users may eventually incur heat stroke or some burns/ diseases if they spend a lot of time under the sun's rays.

Philips Launches the Econova Green TV (with Solar-powered Remote)

A new eco-friendly TV is out in the market as Philips launches the Econova LED TV. The said LED TV set was awarded the European Green EV 2010-2011 by the European Imaging & Sound Association and was designed to address eco-friendly issues without compromising the entertainment performance of TV viewing.

This is a 42" LED TV that consumes only 40W of power when in eco-mode and even comes with a solar-powered remote control. It also comes with an e-manual and makes use of recycled aluminum panels.

A Zero Power Switch is also included to reduce power consumption to 0W when the TV is turned off.
