| Saab Announces ePower Station Wagon Posted: 22 Sep 2010 12:01 AM PDT ![]() Saab is now working on its first electric vehicle called the ePower. This new vehicle takes its body from a familiar 9-3 SportCombi station wagon and boasts of a 135kW/184 hp electric motor which delivers a projected range of 124 miles and makes zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5 seconds on the way to a top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph). A prototype of the Saab ePower Station Wagon will be on hand at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. A compact 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which provides a projected range of around 200km (124 miles), is accommodated in a modified floor-pan, mainly in space within the car's wheelbase previously occupied by the exhaust system and fuel tank. This time around, we have the Energysport, a device designed by Filipe Lima which requires user to pedal their bike to juice up their gadgets. This is another one of those dual-purpose gadgets where you can exercise and produce power simultaneously. The device simply needs to be attached to the wheel of a bike and then start pedaling.
