The set includes 3 racers which can be powered by either a windmill, a solar panel or a hydrogren fuel cell. The first two energy sources provide provide about 20 minutes of racing via 10 to 30 minute charging while the fuel cell only provides about 5 minutes of use. But while all that has been bared, it seems that they are not spared as far as battery aid is concerned. They need 6 AA batteries which are used to power the remotes. Ozone Layer No Longer in Peril? Posted: 20 Sep 2010 06:40 AM PDT One of the issues we hear of today as far as global warming is concerned is the fact that the Ozone layer is vanishing. But it seems that the international efforts to preserve and put a stop to its destruction is producing positive results, 300 scientists provided an update at the UN International Day of Preservation of the Ozone Layer. The report finds that the global ozone is no longer decreasing though not yet increasing, and that due to the Montreal Protocol the ozone layer outside the polar regions is projected to recover to pre-1980 levels by the mid 21st century, a recovery that may be sped up if greenhouse gases cool the upper stratosphere. The executive summary of the Scientific Assessment of Ozone Depletion 2010 will be presented by the Scientific Assessment Panel at the next annual Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol, to be held in Kampala, Uganda from November 8 to 12, 2010.
