Check Out the Jaguar C-X75 Electric Supercar

The Jaguar concept car should make eyes roll, especially the ones curious about electric-powered vehicles following an eco-friendly route. For their part, the Jaguar C-X75 is a concept electric car that is capable of zooming from 0 to 60mph in 3.4 seconds.

This was made possible thanks to a 780bhp power from its quartet of electric motors along with a pair of micro gas turbines. The vehicle can travel be able to travel for 68 miles on electricity but can go s far as 560 miles if motorists make use of the the micro gas turbines recharge the lithium-ion battery pack.

The car also comes with luxury items such as swan doors, high-resolution LCD displays, and an aluminum body.

Nanoscale Solar Cells Can Absorb 10 Times More Energy

Thanks to research done over at the Stanford University, future engineers have discovered another breakthrough as far as nanoscales are concerned. Apparently it was proven that thinner solar cells can trap photons inside solar cells longer thus meaning increased chances of being absorbed and of course increasing efficiency of solar cells.

The engineers calculated that by properly configuring the thicknesses of several thin layers of film, an organic polymer thin film could absorb as much as 10 times more energy from sunlight than predicted by conventional theory.
