Hama Zero of Japan has unveiled yet another solar powered device, the Solar Bike Fujin. The electric bike comes equipped with a solar panel located at the back for the bike.

The Solar Bike Fujin is alternatively powered by a lithium-ion battery which allows it to hit a top speed of 72kmh and can travel a distance of 220km on a single charge. In cases where the sun is not around to juice it up, the battery can be charged using a standard home power socket.

Vodafone Unveils Eco-friendly Recharge Cards

Vodafone Qatar announces new eco-friendly Flexi 20 recharge cards which should help decrease paper waste and are half the size of their predecessor. They are easy to transport and save on space, factors which Vodafone hopes will add to their quest to bring down their carbon footprint.

And as with all Vodafone Qatar recharge cards denominations, the new Flexi 20 are made of recyclable materials. The new Flexi 20's come in a set of two, but customers will have the option of using one and keeping the other for later use.

Vodafone Unveils Eco-friendly Recharge Cards

Samsung Unveils EcoGreen F4 (F4EG) Hard Drives

Samsung has unveiled another line of eco-friendly products, this time in the form of hard drives. The new Samsung EcoGreen F4 (F4EG) hard drives have a maximum density of 2TB density and can store up to 880 hours of DVD video or 500,000 songs in MP3 format.

The drive lacks halogen compound and brominated flame retardant, being composed instead of more eco-friendly materials. They retail for $120 and are expected to come out this September.

Mollie Dash offers a new line of eco-friendly jewelry products carrying a vintage twist. Materials for the said jewelry originate from at local yard sales, thrift stores, as well as off the streets of New York. She counts among the people who believe that most discarded items still have value, and lives by the credo, “reduce, reuse, recycle.”

And as if that is not enough, Mollie makes use of eco-friendly packaging as well. She reuses items such as tissue paper, news print, and magazines. She runs her jewelry studio from her home, where green living is second nature to her entire life. Dash monitors her waste and tries to limit the resources she uses in daily life.
