| Toyota RAV4 to be Electric Soon Posted: 16 Jul 2010 11:58 PM PDT  Toyota and Tesla Motors have joined hands and possibly launch the first electric-powered RAV4. Prototypes will be made by combining the Toyota RAV4 with a Tesla electric powertrain. The first prototype has already been built and is currently undergoing testing with the hope of delivering a fleet of these new electric RAV4 vehicles for evaluation later in the year. Tesla seeks to learn and benefit from Toyota's engineering, manufacturing, and production expertise, while Toyota aims to learn from Tesla's EV technology, daring spirit, quick decision-making, and flexibility. | NYC Sanitation Trucks With QR Codes to Link Recycling Videos Posted: 16 Jul 2010 11:57 PM PDT  The best way to educate people to recycle their trash is from the people who pick them up. And as far as the NYC Sanitation department is concerned, it all starts from the New York City Sanitation Trucks which now have QR codes installed on 2,200 trucks which are linked with "How To Recycle" Videos. The how to video will begin to appear on trucks in 6 to 8 weeks, and in the meanwhile the QR codes will give people access to a video from NYC Media's show "The Green Apple: Recycling."
