For the M&M and Skittles lovers, don't throw away that wrapper just yet. Once you get to see these Eco Boombox speakers which are highlighted by recycled M&M and Skittles wrappers, you may just get a couple of ideas.

Made from up-cycling, unused rolls of wrapping material are used to provide the catchy external display of these speakers which that would otherwise be thrown in the garbage. These Eco Boombox cost $19.99 while the smaller speakers are going for $14.99.

Samsung Unveils New Eco-Friendly Monitors

Samsung has unveiled a new crop of eco-friendly monitors with the release of new 50 and 30 series LED-backlit monitors. They boast of reduced power consumption and hazardous materials. Brightness levels are also preset at 100%, 75% and 50% as well as a power-saving off mode.

Both series also meet Energy Star 5.0 standards for power consumption. All units offer two-millisecond response times and full HD (1920×1080-pixel) resolution.
