| 30 Million LED TVs to be Shipped in 2010 Posted: 01 Jul 2010 12:38 AM PDT  LED backlit TVs are all the rave these days so it is not surprising to learn from top honcho HB Chen that about 30 million of them will be shipped before 2010 ends. HB Chen is the chairman of LED epitaxial wafer and chipmaker Lextar Electronics who also forecasts a 25% share of the overall LCD market. In response to concerns over possible oversupply of LEDs in 2011, Chen indicated that it would be normal in the demand-supply cycle.
