Bolt On Solar Street Lamp Concept

Here is an idea. Since we have been having problems as far as lighting is concerned, here is one that doesn't need to be plugged in. Rather, you simply bolt them on with existing street lamps. This includes tile bolts which are really solar tiles responsible for juicing up street lamps.

The Bolt On Solar Street Lamp concept comes from Bryson Lovett and blends together man-made with nature.

Concept Umbrella Dryer

Posted: 30 Jul 2010 11:40 PM PDT

The concept umbrella dryer looks more like simple umbrella stand one would use to gather excess water on a rainy day. Admirably designed, it comes with tall green sponges where you simply inject your wet umbrella and let the sponges absorb all that wetness.

That water then filters down to the bottom of the trough where some green plants use the water to live. Another concept by the same designer looks like a pencil and has some sponge cloth inside to dry the umbrella.

A good idea and pretty basic. Why buy when you can actually apply the whole idea using your own means right?

General Motors seems to have discovered something critical for the company to increase their production capacity from 30,000 to 45,000 by 2012. The production bump would of course depend largely on a successful roll-out of the first 10,000 units slated for later this year.

Now the move may seem risky but GM will reportedly scale all that back if the Chevy Volt, which costs $41,000, turns out to be a flop. GM's future doesn't ride solely on the Volt, but rather the future vehicles that will employ the same electric/gas parallel hybrid powertrain. But the Volt still needs to be successful.
