River Island Men - Autumn Winter 2010

River Island menswear mens wear 1

Here is a preview of River Island's Autumn Winter 2010 men's collection. I'm loving the over-sized knits and the military trend also makes a small cameo. Amazing!!! More shots of the River Island men AW 2010-2011 collection are after the jump.

Tom Ford casts Nicholas Hoult again

Nicholas hoult tom fordNicholas Hoult obviously made a big impression on Tom Ford because not only did he cast him in his directorial debut, A Single Man, he also cast him in SS2010 campaign and now he has cast him in his AW2010 campaign.

Nicholas has obviously got a fan in the form of Tom Ford.

Diesel Ads Banned in UK

Diesel be stupid ads banned

Diesel loves to create a stir. Last season they had scantily clad greased up models for their Sex Sells campaign. This time they've gone a step further and two of their latest ads have been banned by the United Kingdom Advertising Standards Board as they think Diesel's 'Be Stupid' campaign is "indecent and for promotes anti-social behaviour".

The two ads in question feature a model pointing a camera down her pants while another shows a woman flashing a surveillance camera. Diesel have defended the ads and said that they 'did not contain any provocative nudity beyond the usual amounts shown in many swimwear, sportswear or lingerie ads'.

I think its the Advertising Standards board is making much ado about nothing. There are more sexualized ads on TV and in print that have not been banned and as we know  from previous experience, when an ad is banned its gets twice as much attention. Numerous Calvin Klein ads that have been banned have gone on to become some of the most poular and iconic ads of all time.
