| Posted: 24 Jun 2010 05:04 AM PDT Hey Indy have just emailed me about their latest t-shirt creation. I was hoping to cram in something about the World Cup (yep a real one with countries from all around the world) but haven’t found anything inspiring so far. If you can prove me wrong let me know! Anyway, I have to admit it, I bloody hate vuvzelas, you know those stupid horn things everyone seems to insist on blowing throughout every match? But then again it’s supposed to be a tradition in South Africa, but stuff that, if you can’t even hear the commentary for the noise then what’s the point? Luckily they’ve quietened down a lot, coincidentally the more African teams that are knocked out, the quieter and quieter it gets. I’m not really a football fan, but I keep an eye out when the World Cup is on, besides, it would be nice if England could do something right for once. Although there’s not much chance of that, sure we managed to beat Slovenia and my footie mad neighbours are strutting like they won the cup, but the fact is we do suck. Especially as we invented the game :/ Anyway asides my gripes about the England team, vuvzelas, noise and the neighbours, Hey Indy’s Vuvuzela T-Shirt is a rather smart tee all the same. Available in 4 colours at £14.99 in sizes S-XL, they’re probably rocketing off the shelves as we speak, seeing as everyone’s gone football craaaazzzzeeeee :p |
| Posted: 24 Jun 2010 01:32 AM PDT Leon Verres, haute couture designer famous for his credit card dresses amongst other outrageous creations is taking on the hoi poloi of the fashion world with his 3F T-Shirt (a featured in the Huffington Post) which is out now and for sale at €49/$60 (men sizes S-XXL and women XS-XL with free worldwide shipping) made in Italy with the highly controversial slogan “F*ck Vogue F*ck Anna F*ck You”. Definitely one for the fashionistas I’d say! The high prices may put off some however the profits will be entirely donated to the children’s charity I Stand For Children. If you want to know a little more behind the story read this press release from the designer: ‘Anna Wintour and her Vogue have been taken the fashionistas for fools for many years. She presents perfectly styled Hollywood stars in luxurious outfits and declares that to be the new trend. Besides that I do not know anyone with common sense who considers such extravagantly styled fashion-zombies attractive, with its costly produced pseudo trends the Vogue only attends on an elitist minority of the fashion world, which is out of touch with reality and dieing out. To sum it up. The American Vogue has become obsolete as style authority long ago! The time has come for Anna Wintour to accept this and to let the true critics do their work. The true fashionistas on this planet – this means the 99% of the fashion consumers who do not read the Vogue – prefer to support the army of fashion bloggers, which focuses on what real people in real life wear on the streets instead of showing over-stylized fashion photo series with extremely thin models. Fashion bloggers are the new kings of the world of fashion and I am one of their biggest supporters. It gives me a good feeling to know that I – as one of the very small number of designers who are independent of industry and media – am able to afford to have the Stalin on stilettos as an enemy. After all I am not alone on the mined catwalk. Besides my almost 3 million registered customers, who form the so-called "Legion Verres", each day more and more people join me. Furthermore the demand for the "3F" T-shirt exceeds all of my expectations. This makes me unutterably pride and happy, because the total revenue for the T-shirts will inure to the benefit of my child relief project "I stand for children’. As stated by Leon… "Before it´s in Vogue it´s Sold Out!" Leon Verres’ ultra-trendy 3F T-shirt is finally for sale at www.leonverres.com/shop/index.php. |
