The Chin Hua Solar Glass is a Solar Panel Glass Alternative

Solar power solicited from new solar panels is nothing new and now we have a new one with the Chin Hua Solar Glass. This new invention was on hand at the Taipei’s International Optoelectronics Week.

The Chin Hua Solar Glass is a small, slightly foggy pane that delivers 2W of light. The glass can be manufactured with more (or less haze) to provide greater or lesser solar power efficiency depending on your liking. With this new solar panel, you can install the most efficient windows on the side of your house and eventually making you feel better about the environment.

Ovol have just finished developing cardboard based seating; and successfully completed first exhibition for Museums & Heritage Show @ Earls Court. Our seating was a low-cost alternative to hire furniture, the seating contains reused waste material, the body is 100% card, the cushion sustainable cotton, with foam. The cushion will be re-used. Now available to the public through Ovol website or Amazon.

Could this be the future of eco-friendly furnishings? Well if Charles Eames would be able to put concepts to work, then perhaps he can join the solar-powered products frenzy, something that his 1958 Do Nothing machine seems to portray.

Known for the Eames Lounge Chair, integrating some solar-powered loving into his recognizable line of ensembles can indeed go places. Categorized as "toys" back in 1958, this is the age where even the impossible concepts can happen. Wacky inventions can do their stuff, it is just a matter of making them work!
