Bikecabs or pedicabs will make their debut at some streets in Philly today, providing an eco-friendly means of public transport for some green loving. There will be two operators, Velo-Park and Chariots of Philly, which will initially deploy over a dozen bikecabs which will cost $1 per block.

There will be a 5-block minimum. With this initiative, Philadelphia may yet join the ranks of the greenest cities in the world. This should be a spark and hopefully other eco-friendly initiatives will be launched as well.

Here is an idea for people who may want some simple yet eco-friendly business ideas. The Kickstand Coffee is perhaps one of the ingenious creations where people can get sustainable coffee for only $2.50 a cup.

The setup is minimal. Two carts, two bikes. Two kinds of coffee – hot, brewed, and/or cold, which is naturally cold-brewed. The carts join together, assembling to form a full coffee bar in minutes, one that's completely mobile, so Kickstand can serve their primo coffee anywhere.
