Here is something educational you can consider your kids for. Chaa Creek is offering a week long summer camp program about biodiversity, natural resource conservation, the ancient Maya, traditional healing, and the three “R’s” Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

Camp will be held from July 18-24, 2010 at the Chaa Creek Summer Camp where kids aged 7 to 15 are welcome. The program aims to instill memorable values that will have an impact on the way children conduct their lives, their relationship with our fragile Earth, and the sustainable development of our future.

Cheap Solar Cells Achieve 19% Efficiency

Innovalight has reportedly come up with cheap silicon ink-based solar cells which provide 19% efficiency. Solar technology is in the limelight right now and high efficiency levels are in focus right now. A high efficiency level would indicate the efficiency of the solar cell in converting sunlight energy into electrical energy.

While achieving 19% efficiency at a low premium does seem to be already a milestone, Innovalight is not stopping there. They are aiming for 20% efficiency as we speak in cooperation with other solar cell manufacturing companies. Should this happen, the advent of more solar power-based machines may yet be close to perfection.
