Here is a new concept for devices and gadgets. A new kind of concept which makes use of renewable solar energy has been released with the Solar Mobile Charging Kiosk. This concept allows users to recharge their mobile phones in public areas but seems to be lacking bit when it comes to visibly locking phones to the station.

In short, while the recharging phase seems neat, the security of your phones needs some improvement. Being a concept, they certainly have all the time in the world to improve on it.

Smart Station Charger for Electric Vehicles

If there is one thing that is being raised nowadays regarding electric vehicles would be where they would be charged. Electric vehicles as we know it are getting their share of attention and to make sure that they are put in their right place, the needs to have adequate and sufficient power needs to be addressed.

Utilizing one of Fraunhofer's smart charging stations, users could choose between an immediate recharge, or a longer one. If they chose the second option, they would enter the time that the car was next needed. The charger would then choose an earlier time of day when the local power grid was under the least load, and recharge the car's batteries then.

The system would also keep track of municipal power from renewable sources, and might choose a charging time based on maximum daylight or wind velocity.
