Bionic Asks: What are you beauty pocket essentials?

Posted: 28 Apr 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Bionic Beauty Asks - Makeup and beauty question blog article series

This week's Bionic Asks

Imagine if you will… You’re headed out for a gals night, a hot-date, a concert or ___ (insert your super-swanky plans here) and little to no pocket room and you definitely don’t want to lug around a purse.

For me, I grab a Snog mini lip balm (since it can double as a hand moisturizer and I simply cannot go anywhere without lipbalm!!), my ID, credit card, and a mini lip stick or gloss (hint: look for sample sizes at your department store makeup counters). Second hint: If I don’t have a sample size of the color I want, I add some of the lip color to an empty lipbalm tin and ta-da! Lip color to go without bulging out my pockets!

What beauty essentials do you fit into that precious pocket space?

Freebies Found: Aveeno, Dove, Eucerin, John Frieda and loads more

Posted: 27 Apr 2010 02:42 PM PDT

The Bionic Beauty blog finds free samples of beauty and cosmetics products including John Frieda shampoo and conditioner, Dove and Aveeno hair care, Eucerin body lotion, and Maxim natural feminine products

I hit the beauty-full jackpot on freebie hunting today. Lots and lots of hair care, lotion, and girly-goodies to fill your mailbox!

Become a fan of Aveeno on Facebook and then register to receive a free sample of their Nourish+ shampoo and conditioner! You can choose from their Volumize, Revitalize, Moisturize and Shine formulas.

For those of you who missed the first round of Aveeno Nourish+ hair care freebies, they are still active!

Since we all need to remember our monthly self-breast exams- use this free Feel Your Boobies vinyl sticker to prompt you in a funny way! I’ve spotted them on cars, mailboxes and street corners. Cute slogan, and a great cause!

Get a free trial pack of Maxim “natural and organic” feminine hygiene products. You can choose from tampons, pads, liners, a combo pack. And for those of us without ovaries or past menopause- we can sample their cotton balls/rounds & swabs- perfect for makeup application and removal!

Try the brand new Eucerin Daily Skin Balance body lotion by requesting a free sample on Walmart.com!

Canadian gals “Get your blond on!” with a free sample of John Frieda’s Go Blonder shampoo and conditioner by joining John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde Canada facebook page. This hair care line gradually lightens your hair for a gently highlighted look.

Grab a freebie of Dove’s new Daily Treatment Conditioner – You can choose from either their Intensive Repair which helps prevent split ends and hair breakage; or Daily Moisture which restores softness and smoothness. (Note: This freebie has been open for a bit now, but I’m reposting it in case some readers missed it… it’s still open and valid!)

Enjoy!
