Eco-friendly Waitrose Milk Cartons Shelved

Eco-friendly packaging may not always be profitable. They are commendable but it still remains that it would depend on the product's marketability. And for WaitRose, being forced to pull out their eco-friendly milk cartons due to declining sales.

Waitrose has been going great using familiar plastic bottles. It is actually a preference among customers, evidence that embracing eco-friendly packaging has yet to be established in the world. The new product was hailed as likely to revolutionize the sale of milk as a pouch typically contains 75% less plastic than the bottles in which at least two-thirds of the 180 million pints of milk consumed by Britons every week is sold.
