| Recycled Rice Bags MP3 Player Case Is Super Cute Posted: 14 Apr 2010 05:39 PM PDT Just found these super cute cases for the iPod, or any similarly sized MP3 player. The MP3 cases are made from recycled rice bags and also come with a band to secure the device tight. This item is no longer available on the Urban Outfitters site, but I did find a similar case at an online shop called Cambodian Shopping, also made from sustainable materials. Be sure to look at our recycle category for more great items made using up-cycled materials. via Eco Tech Daily Need Green Web Hosting? Check out our latest review of green web hosts. | Concept Car Turns CO2 to Oxygen Posted: 13 Apr 2010 09:30 PM PDT Called the YeZ, this is another solar-powered car concept which acts like a tree. It takes in carbon dioxide and then releases oxygen just like an ordinary tree would. The YeZ carries a tree-like design and comes with a canopy to serve as shade for the driver to make it look like a leaf. The energy created by this process, small wind turbines fixed to the wheels and solar panels on the vehicle's canopy are what will keep it rolling. (Source) Slippery Brick Need Green Web Hosting? | Posted: 13 Apr 2010 09:28 PM PDT ![]() It looks like a two-toned Rubik's Cube but it is really the shell for a new kind of charger. It comes completely designed with symbols where you have to try and match them. The concept makes use of motion-generation, each turn of which is equivalent to generating power. Exactly how much energy it could generate is unknown, it is a concept after all. You can pull the top layer of blocks up to reveal a USB port for charging devices.
