| Need A Sustainable Secret Hiding Spot For Valuables Posted: 06 Apr 2010 10:22 AM PDT Take a look at the Secret Storage Books Company based in Canada and run by green entrepreneur Brian Egan. Brian recycles old books, hollows them out and creates lovely eccentric and sustainable secret storage books. Essentially these are books which you can use to hide or conceal little valuable trinkets, jewelry or anything else you want hidden from plain view. The books used are all books which would have suffered and endured a long death in a landfill in Canada, but thanks to Brian Egan and his company for rescuing, reusing and reducing waste. | Carrie Underwood Donating Big Bucks To Help Dogs in Need Posted: 06 Apr 2010 08:52 AM PDT One of our favorite musicians and vegetarian celebrity, Carrie Underwood is donating BIG bucks to animal shelters around the US. As reported at Ecorazzi, Carrie Underwood has partnered up with Pedigree to help dogs in need, specifically dogs in shelters. The partnership aims to bring awareness to the HUGE problem of pet over population and the 4 million dogs that end up in shelters each year. Pedigree has successfully brought Underwood on board and she has generously donated $10,000 checks to several US based animal shelters, including one in Pittsburgh and another in Manhattan. This generosity will aid the shelters in numerous ways, as most are non-profit. Kudos to Underwood! via Ecorazzi Need Green Web Hosting? Check out our latest review of green web hosts.
