| Google Roller Coaster To Be Powered By The Sun Posted: 01 Apr 2010 11:03 AM PDT Who doesn’t love a good roller coaster? Well, apparently the guys and gals over at Google will soon have one in their office building. Remember today is April 1st, which means many articles on the net, will not be real. Not sure if this is an April Fool’s Joke or not, so do take this post with a grain of salt. The article referenced comes via Inhabitat (link below) and essentially Google claims that they have an eco friendly roller coaster in the works for their Google campus. The Google coaster will be powered by the Sun, and will only run when energy is in surplus mode. In addition, the coaster will be made from a series of recycled and or sustainable materials, including seats made from recycled plastic water bottles. What’s most interesting (or funny) is that the coaster will be created in the shape of the Google logo. Believe this story? Tell us below in the comment area. If it is true, I wanna go for a ride. via Inhabitat Need Green Web Hosting? Check out our latest review of green web hosts. Google Roller Coaster To Be Powered By The Sun Related posts |
| Posted: 01 Apr 2010 10:42 AM PDT It’s no secret we Americans love to splurge on our animal pet friends, especially our cats and dogs. Take a look above at the playful but eco friendly cat tree I spotted over at Cats Play, the site dedicated to cat accessories of all types. The cat tree is harvested from downed trees or local sustainable lumber, and each one is handcrafted by a US artisan.

New electric-powered Fedex trucks officially came out this week in the UK and are expected to debut in the US this June. Fedex has chosen a conservative approach, starting with just 4 electric vehicles for now. Kudos to Fedex for this eco-friendly shift for their business! (Source) Crunchgear Need Green Web Hosting? | Leav, New Outdoor Solar Habitat Posted: 31 Mar 2010 07:12 PM PDT Going camping this Summer? Have a look at the new outdoor solar habitat called LEAV, from French designer Benjamin Charles. The small modular home is powered by a rather large solar panel which attaches to the canvas roof, and provides hot water to the kitchen and bathroom. This is a stand alone unit that is being targeted to the hotel and camping industry. Camping? I would imagine that this awesome solar habitat is meant for large commercial camping, and not your usual hiking trail camping trip. Need Green Web Hosting?
