Karen Elson is the latest model to take the plunge into singing. Karen Elson's music draws inspiration from Patsy Cline and the sounds of Nashville. Usually when I hear the term slashie I have very low expectations. After hearing her song, its clear thar Karen can definitely sing but her style of music isn't my cup of tea. It's a lot better than some of the singles I have seen other models release (which isn't really a complement because most models who have released albums have been dreadful) and I commend Karen for singing the songs live.

With regard to the Album Karen Elson told WWD,

"On the runway, I just feel so awkward. I feel like I'm the clumsiest model. I see all these beautiful 6-foot-tall amazons and 5-foot-8 me who still can't even walk in heels, and as much as I try, I usually end up tripping up somewhere. [But] the payoff with singing is that you're singing your songs. The payoff with the runway, maybe there isn't one. I'm just crossing my fingers that I'm not going to fall."

Karen's album, "The Ghost who Walks" will be released on May 25th and was produced by her rockstar husband Jack White from the White-Stripes.

Tilda Swinton covers Dazed and Confused May 2010

Dazed and Confused only recently unveiled the cover of their April issue and already they have unveiled the cover of the May Issue. The May issue features fashion icon, Tilda Swinton on 2 alternate covers. On one cover she has a short spiky coif and in the other she has fiery red curls. One word... Feroshe!! The covers were photographed by by Glen Luchford.

The issue will be available in stores from April 15th.
