The Kyosemi Corporation has unveiled an interesting concept on collecting solar power using the traditional windows through these Sphelar Solar Cells which were shown over at the PV Expo 2010 in Tokyo. These are solidified silicon drops which measure 1.8mm in diameter and are transparent.

They can be embedded on glass to create a transparent solar cell window, capable of absorbing light from any direction or angle. These should be cool concept solutions of the future, especially now that the demand for alternative energy sources is growing.

100% electric 2010 GM Chevrolet Equinox Debuts

Advanced Mechanical Products, Inc announced that the 100% electric 2010 GM Chevrolet Equinox will make its debut at the New York Auto Show on April 2. The showroom for the 2010 GM Chevrolet Equinox opened last February 24 in Cincinnati and production of the AMP'd Equinox has commenced since then.

This is an electric car which should give other electric-powered vehicles in the market a run for their money. Widely publicized brands such as the Nissan Leaf are not projecting delivery until sometime in 2011, with many others expected to reach market beyond that point.

If you’re one of the few who pre-ordered an iPad tablet from Apple, and you’re now in the market for a cool ECO case or cover. The cork sleeves from Taperec might interest you.

The cork iPad sleeves are in development and will come from London by an artist named Ryan Frank, who I think also runs a music band on the side. According to the Taperec website. These pretty cool sleeves would definitely stand out from the crowd, as they’re not typical at all.
