I just found out about this super cool club. But it’s WAY MORE than just a wacky car club.

The JunkyCarClub was started by a smart guy named Mike Foster, after he realized he was “attached” to a fancy car he owned and was paying alot of money for. He had an epiphany one day and sold his Infiniti G35 sports car, for a modest (and junky) 1993 Toyota Camry.

He thought others might also be interested in his anti-consumerism and polite rebellion, so he started up the Junky Car Club, to get others to join him. The actual club is nothing more than a namesake and members merely take it as a token. But once you join up, you’re encouraged to optionally try some form of social justice.

Mike mentions two programs on the Junky Car Club website, one is Sponsor A Child. He mentions that instead of paying hundreds of dollars on a car note, why not help a child out instead.

Food for thought, for sure.
