Bionic Asks: What’s your favorite eyeliner formula? Posted: 23 Dec 2009 04:23 AM PST This week's Bionic Asks… What is your favorite eyeliner formula? These days we have gel, cream, pencil, kohl powder, and liquid liners. Each has it’s own pros and cons, and its own fan-following. My personal favorites are gel and cream eyeliners (I wore Purely Cosmetics’ Black Cherry for last year’s New Year celebration), followed closely by kohl powder (like my absolute must-have L’Oreal HiP Kohl liners). The gel/cream liners are perfect for a precise line and light smudging; while the kohl is ideal for a smokey and dramatic eye look. With that said, I have plenty of pencils (my favorites are the Pencil Me In liners since they are affordable and come in every color under the sun), and a liquid liner or two in my makeup case. I turn to my pencils when I want a certain color or need to run out the door quickly. The liquid liner takes a bit more time, but it is my go-to for classic, “retro” or Old Hollywood makeup looks.
