| Electric Car Credits Aiming to Get Gas Powered Cars Off the Road Posted: 17 Dec 2009 09:23 PM PST ![]() The deal is enticing and perhaps it can work. Apparently electric power for cars is growing in popularity and preference and as an added initiative, consumers will even get some electric car credits for shifting from gas to electric powered cars. Much of these electric cars can be bought from Freeelectriccar.com and are free after a federal tax rebate. The story was featured last week on CNN Anderson Cooper and on Fox Business with John Stossel and ABC News. Customers like the free and green aspect of the cars. It is a tax credit which means a dollar for dollar reduction in taxes owed to the IRS. It is not an income deduction. For example, a 4 passenger vehicle at www.FreeElectricCar.com is on sale for $6,496. The tax credit is also $6,496 – making the vehicle free. They travel 25mph and are street legal. | Posted: 17 Dec 2009 09:21 PM PST We have all seen bikes which get added support thanks to electrical motors which gain power through the usual pedal power. The Copenhagen Wheel practically does the same thing but it has an added feature with its iPhone compatibility. Apparently it connects to your phone via Bluetooth and records trip information such as speed, direction and distance traveled. It can even pull information from the web to alert you of traffic and weather conditions. This Copenhagen Wheel is expected to be released next year and may retail somewhere between $500 to $1,000.
