I just wanted to take a quick minute to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Bionic Beauties out there. While we may have never met, I’m very thankful, and honored, to have you reading this website.

This year has been a particularly rough one for me, but I still have so many things to appreciate. My family, my friends, my pets, my wonderful co-authors Joycey Couture and Bionic Bronnie, this website, and much more. Times have been tough for everyone in this economy. Hopefully someday soon, these challenges will be behind us. In the meantime, we can only remember to be grateful for what we have, and to keep Achieving Powerful Beauty!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend. Eat lots of turkey, forget the calories on the pumpkin pie for once, and relax when you can. Let me know what goodies you grab at the sales tomorrow!

Product Review: Lip Smoothies from Clinique

Clinique has released some cool new “liquid lipsticks” called Vitamin C Lip Smoothies. It’s basically a twist-up gloss that pumps color through a small applicator brush. The formula is a bit thicker than your standard gloss but thinner, of course, than lipstick.

Lip Smoothies are packed with Vitamin C to help fight free radicals, oxidants and pollutants that can age and damage your lips. In my testing, my Lip Smoothie (I got color Nude-Tritious) didn’t wear too long (around two hours), but it didn’t fade as quickly as a normal lipgloss either. There’s absolutely zero stickiness, and it feels SO smooth on your lips. So, yep, I totally agree with the name.
