Mickey cannot live forever, in fact he really needs putting out of his misery. With his squeaky cheery chappie persona grating on everyone’s nerves it’s no surprise he’d trying to take the easy way out. Digging up skeletons of the past, fictional or otherwise, Disturbia once again does a fine job of disrespecting what’s still precious to the corporate drones of the world. Highly apt really, seeing as Disney are buying up Stan Lee’s Marvel Comics, perhaps the influence of Wolverine and The Hulk are taking their toll on the little guy. Has anyone got some cheese? This living dead Mouse needs fattening up for the corporate cats. Get it in white S to XL for £20 or wait till Black Friday and lop off a third of the price!

Here’s a quickie, Tolky Monkys have just released three new tees for guys, the new character-based shirts are Death - Vanity Fear, Bluby Birdo and The Astonishing Neighbours of 33C. I know, crazy, but isn’t that why we love ‘em? If there’s an award for lost-in-translation surrealism, it has to be the Tolkys. To be honest, I’d be disappointed if it was any other way.
Muerte/Death is an old favourite on the site, one of their original characters you might say. Bluby has featured before in the 5th edition of their Microstories Contest. As usual all the designs are limited edition and silk screen printed, plus they’re also printing new XXL sizes for some of their shirts. Anyway, here’s the frontrunner for me out of their three new tees:-

Very cool, totally mad, love the graphics, and I’m glad I don’t have neighbours like this. Still even the sane have to agree it’s a very strong design. This 1st edition character tee is limited to 160 shirts and is available in sizes S to XXL for €22. Comes in white or claret. I’d include a quote from the story behind The Astonishing Neighbours of 33C, but I fear it might melt your brain, and so I’ll leave with a synopsis. A couple of mad professors who live in a skyscraper, and are against animal testing, decide to shoot, with the aid of gunpowder, multi-coloured smoke trails from their rear ends in the name of scientific progress. Ah well, now you see what I mean… heh.
