I’ve had the misfortune of twisting my back on Friday so I will be keeping this post brief, however look forward to more great reviews soon… One last note of thanks to the fabulous people at T-Post and their generous gift of 3 x 3 month subscriptions to their amazing and truly unique magazine. Here’s a couple of my faves by Huebucket to give you a reminder… Bad Hare Day Tee
The first of two beautifully drawn t-shirt designs by Huebucket, Dan Lachman, the guy behind Sharpshirter.com and Chalermphol Haranchakkham have been closely working together for 2 years now. Communicating mainly by email, Dan forwards over various ideas and as Chalermphol puts it, “some of the worst pencil drawings” he has ever seen and Chalermphol turns those sparks of imagination into a highly illustrated and ornate reality. This surreal little number puts a twist on a familiar problem for men and women alike (men with hair that is), what might’ve looked a work of art for the head at the party last night will invariably take on a terrifying form by the morning after. Although, I have to say if you’re going to have a Bad Hare Day, make sure you’ve plenty of carrots in supply. Available for women in sizes S to L (unisex style) in apricot for $23 ($17.25 in the sale). Cycling Fish Tee
The second offering from Hubucket, again another rather surreal moment in t-shirt design, I’ve heard of brakes slipping but this shirt takes the problem off into the realms of Asian mysticism. Actually, to be honest, it’s a play on the late 60’s wall scribblings of Florynce Kennedy’s feminist adage that “Women need men like a fish needs a bicycle”. The Cycling Fish deep V-neck tee is on offer now for $23 ($17.25 in the sale) in grey, sizes S to L. Check out all the tees on sale on Monday here. |
