| Tiniest Solar Engine Fits in a Wine Glass Posted: 24 Nov 2009 01:26 PM PST We have seen miniature ships assembled in bottles but a solar engine in a wine bottle does seem curious. It takes a lot of patience and resourcefulness to be able to do this and the credit goes to Szymon Kimek who created a dozen of these engines. Mind you, dozens! Making one alone would drive anyone crazy. He gets paper-thin sheets of brass and cuts out the parts he needs, then shapes them and glues them together by hand to create these exquisite engines. | How to Recycle Your Wine Bottles into Usefulness! Posted: 24 Nov 2009 11:43 AM PST Wine bottles probably make a large percentage of wasted glass after its use. Although you can recycle them, here’s a couple great ideas on how to recycle your win bottles into useful household gadgets. 1. You can learn to turn these wine bottles into beautiful wine torches. Not only these look great on your house, they may propagate feeling of “Europa” when your guest come.
2. For those of you electronically-inclined (or know someone who is), you might want to consider re-using those wine bottles into wine LED lamps. LED lamps have proven themselves over the years for efficiency and safety over traditional light bulbs. Why not get couple of these to light up your romantic dinner table?
3. Here’s my favorite one, you can grow some moss in a wine bottle. (or even some plants!)
I am sure you can come up with more ideas for greening our environment and re-using your wine bottles after a happy evening.
