Achieve Powerful Beauty with Bionic Beauty™

Welcome to this week’s Powerful Beauty segment! This week fellow blogger and gal pal, Luci Weston shares how she defines Powerful Beauty.

Luci is an amazing woman. She’s impressed me from the day we “met” online. Her lifestyle blog “Here We Are With Luci” features its own radio show, a book club of sorts, beauty news, health advice, career info, pop culture discussions and witty humor. And it’s all delivered in Luci’s fresh style.

So go grab a drink and check out Luci’s contribution…

Powerful Beauty with Luci Weston of the Here We Are with Luci blog
When Jami asked me to write an entry for Powerful Beauty, I immediately accepted because I enjoy its collective platform to share and exchange experiences about beauty. After much consideration about what my true feelings are about the meaning of “powerful” beauty, I realized that I did not have a clear answer. The idea of beauty and its power are blurred due to constant media images of what we are supposed to perceive as beautiful. Certainly, there are many women held up as the personification of beauty, e.g., Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Beyonce, Sophia Lauren. But what is it exactly that moves us about these women or any others, famous or not? Is it the eyes, the hair, the confidence? Yes, no, maybe, perhaps.

It finally occurred to me that there is one thing we all possess that can — and does — move people, be they young, old, familiar, or a complete stranger. It is a smile. Any old grin simply will not do. It has to be a smile that speaks from the soul. One that shines from within to connect you to another human being. Age, dress size, or less than perfect teeth do not matter. A full, heartfelt, radiant smile combined with eye-contact is the most powerful tool a woman possesses in her beauty arsenal. A beautiful smile instantly makes the face look pretty. It makes the eyes sparkle. It draws others to you more effectively than words; it even transcends language barriers. It emits a special intangible feeling for the “smiler and the smilee.” Best of all, it’s free and you can never wear too much of it!

I adore Luci’s “smiler” and “smilee” catch phrases. I think I’m going to have to adapt those into my vocabulary! Well ladies, how do you relate to Luci’s Powerful Beauty definition? And who are your favorite famous Powerful Beauties?

Catch up on the rest of the Powerful Beauty features. And remember to check back each Friday for another dose of how to Achieve Powerful Beauty!

Thanks for Supporting the 2009 Charity Auctions!

Posted: 17 Sep 2009 04:05 PM PDT

This just proves how wonderful all the Bionic Beauties are out there… By supporting the charity auctions on the Bionic Beauty blog, you’ve helped raised $419.50 for the Karma Dogs and Genesis House charities!

Plus the lucky ladies who won the auctions have received some super cool cosmetics. I’m truly proud to have you all as readers. This is what being a Powerful Beauty is all about.

Thank you for being amazing women, bidding generously, for supporting this charities and for reading Bionic Beauty!

I’d also like to take a moment to thank YBF Skincare. YBF assisted in these charity drives by donating over $1200 worth of products. Not only does YBF Skincare create anti-aging and corrective skin products that actually WORK, but in a digital age where customer service seems to not be about the customer anymore, YBF stands out. Darrell and Kimberley, the owners, are a true pleasure. They answer all my questions patiently, walk me through ingredients and why each one is included, and they are just plain nice.

If you haven’t tried YBF Skincare yet, hop on the bandwagon! Yes, they look pricey at first… but my bottles last me 4 to 6 months each. You only use a less-than-pea-size amount on your face daily. Correct was my eye-saver recently when I had some emotional times at home. It resolved my red, puffy, and wrinkled eyes! I know I sound like an ad, but I make absolutely zero money from YBF. I just enjoy supporting a brand that is so wonderful.

Thanks again ladies, for making these charity auctions such a success!

Stay Bionic,
Bionic Beauty
