LG Electronics has been known to deliver various kinds of LCD monitors and now they unveil the LG W86, an eco-friendly LED-backlit LCD monitor boasting of slim design. The LG W86 monitors are idea for business and home use.

The LG W86 boasts of an impressive dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, the W86 is able to convey fine details when viewing photos, movies or even games on screen. This performance requires no sacrifice as the W86 uses average 40% less power than normal CCFL monitors and contains absolutely no mercury.

The LG W86 will make its debut during Gitex 2009 and will be available in 22-inch 16:10 and 24-inch 16:9 configurations.

For all the home owners out there looking for reliable appliances, Panasonic has announced the availability of its eco-friendly washing machines. These new washing machines produce 20% less power and reduced water consumption. There are two new models released, the NA-14VA1 and the NA-16VX1. The feature 3D acceleration sensors which helps assist in lower sensory and noise vibration.

Panasonic designed the models with ease of use and convenience in mind. With the large double-layer window acting as a heat protection surface and the door operating on the one-push-open principle, the tilt-angle design makes for easy loading and/or unloading. There is a time-saving 15-minute Rapid Program for small loads of lightly soiled items and a 60-minute Quick Program for larger ones.

Penny Nash is the brains and heart behind a new eco friendly apparel website named LightenYourCarbonFootprint.com

In Penny’s own words:

“I’ve been reading about the impact humanity is having on the earth for a long time, and I’m disappointed that more hasn’t been done to stop pollution, climate change and species extinction,” said Nash. “Finally I decided to get involved, and that’s when I launched my website,” she added.

Her website focuses mostly on sustainable apparel such as hemp and bamboo for adults, and has plans to introduce the same for infants and teens down the line.

I’ve seen the website and apparel pricing is moderate, however the site itself is truly lacking. It needs a serious design makeover and maybe easier navigation. So a new webmaster or designer is definitely in order.
