Porsche Ordered to Stop Cayenne S Hybrid Ad

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 12:21 AM PDT

This isn't the first time we get to hear about a product or service using eco-friendly tags but are evidently not. Apparently through their ads, Porsche is being hit for showing an ad worth £58,000 for its Cayenne S Hybrid which it claimed that motorists could travel at speeds under 37mph without using any petrol.

Apparently critics are watching and they are 100% sure of what they know, including not using petrol or produce any emissions. The ASA ruled that the ad not be used again saying it had breached truthfulness clauses. Is Porsche following?

Electrolux To Unveil Eco-Friendly Vacuums

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 12:20 AM PDT

Electrolux may soon be coming out with an eco-friendly vacuum, made of ocean plastic. Oceans are filled with waste from discarded plastic, but manufacturers are complaining of shortages on recycled plastic on land.

Therefore using plastic from the oceans would help manufacturers make their products sustainable and consumers maintain a greener home environment.

Apparently the whole concept and idea makes sense and as people yearn for more eco-friendly home solutions, this is one electronic product that should be lauded by socially responsible people.

Bionic Asks: Suggestions for organizing my nail polish?

Posted: 30 Jun 2010 06:30 AM PDT

Bionic Beauty Asks - Makeup and beauty question blog article seriesI’m in desperate need of suggestions to help me get my nail polish “collection” under control. I figured I would open up the discussion on Bionic Beauty in hopes that you all have some ideas.

My polishes currently reside in three totes. One soft sided case holds all my nail art pens, polishes, stickers, and special effects top coats (like glimmer, holographic, etc).

The second tote is an ancient Caboodle! This one holds random nail polishes in the bottom section; gloss and matte top coats in the left drawer; and my OPI Designer Series polishes in the right drawer.

The third tote is a fishing tackle box. The top tray holds my selection of “current favorites” plus my base coats; the middle tray is mini-sized polish, a few more favorites (my Milani 3D Holographics!) and my few Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes. The bottom section is huge and holds the rest of my nail colors.

And so this week's Bionic Asks Do you have any ideas on organizing my nail polish stash? I’d prefer to use the totes I have, or at the very least, find a cheap alternative. I’m on a very limited budget. Ideas? Suggestions?

Stay Bionic,
